Warranty Information
Manufacturer Warranties on Third-Party Products
Unless otherwise stated, products sold on our website are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty only.
We do not offer or provide warranties on products that we do not manufacture ourselves. Warranty coverage, terms, duration, and eligibility are determined solely by the product’s manufacturer and may vary by brand.
If a product is believed to be defective, the customer is responsible for:
-
Reviewing the manufacturer’s warranty policy
-
Contacting the manufacturer directly for warranty claims or service
-
Following the manufacturer’s required procedures for inspection, repair, or replacement
We’re happy to assist with manufacturer contact information or general guidance when possible, but we cannot authorize or guarantee manufacturer warranty claims.
Custom Rod Warranty (In-House Built Rods)
Custom rods built by us are warrantied for the lifetime of the original owner against defects in workmanship and construction.
This warranty covers issues directly related to how the rod was built, including:
-
Guide installation
-
Thread work and finish integrity
-
Reel seat installation
-
Structural issues resulting from faulty assembly
This warranty applies to the original owner only and covers normal fishing use.
Our custom rods are warrantied against defects in workmanship and construction. Damage resulting from normal wear and tear or user-related causes—including but not limited to—broken guides, tip-tops, worn grips, impact damage, or misuse—is not covered under warranty. We are happy to repair or replace these types of damages for a service fee.
Damage resulting from improper use or handling—including high-sticking, lifting fish by the rod, excessive point loading, or impact damage—is not covered under warranty.
Component Manufacturer Warranties
Individual components used in our custom rods—including rod blanks, guides, reel seats, grips, and finishing materials—are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties, not by us.
Any warranty claim involving a component is subject to the component manufacturer’s terms, inspection, and approval process. We can assist in coordinating claims when possible, but we do not control outcomes or timelines.
What Is Not Covered
Warranties do not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Cosmetic damage
-
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper care
-

Unauthorized modifications or third-party repairs
-
Improper storage or transportation
Fishing rods are tools, and not all breakage is the result of a defect.
In-House Rigged Tackle Warranty
For rigged lures, spreader bars, daisy chains, and other in-house assembled trolling tackle, our warranty applies only to the rigging and assembly performed by us.
While we may rig or modify a lure, the lure itself (including diving plugs, skirted trolling lures, squids, and other manufactured lures) remains subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty, if any.
What We Warranty
We warranty our rigging and assembly work against defects in workmanship, at our discretion. This includes issues such as:
-
Improper crimping
-
Faulty knots, splices, or connections
-
Assembly errors directly related to our rigging
If a failure is determined to be the result of a workmanship issue in our rigging, we may repair or replace the rigging as appropriate.
