Shipping and Handling

Carriers & Processing Time

White Water Outfitters reserves the right to utilize FedEx, UPS, USPS, or DHL services to meet our delivery standards.

Orders placed on a business day are typically processed and shipped within 24 hours; however, processing times may vary depending on product availability at the time of order. Items that are not immediately in stock may require additional processing time prior to shipment.

In cases where items are not immediately available, orders may be delayed, partially fulfilled, or placed on backorder in accordance with our Inventory & Availability policy. We will make reasonable efforts to fulfill orders as quickly as possible.

Standard shipping (5–7 business days) and expedited shipping (2–3 business days) are part of our normal shipping structure. These delivery windows refer to transit time once the package is in the carrier’s possession and do not include order processing time.

If you require delivery by a specific deadline, we strongly recommend calling us directly to arrange special expedited services. Pricing may vary based on package size, weight, and destination.


Inventory & Fulfillment Disclaimer

Inventory availability displayed on our website does not represent a live or real-time inventory system. Some products may be fulfilled and shipped directly from manufacturers or suppliers, while others may ship from our retail location. Fulfillment method and shipping location may vary based on availability at the time an order is processed.

If an item is unavailable or cannot be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe, White Water Outfitters may, at its discretion, remove the item from the order, place the item on backorder, or ship available items separately. Customers will be contacted if a substitution is proposed or when additional input is required.

Shipping Carrier Responsibility

Once an order has been shipped and is in the possession of the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL), White Water Outfitters is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, including but not limited to weather, routing issues, or service interruptions.

All delivery timeframes are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.

If a package is marked as delivered by the carrier but cannot be located, the customer is responsible for contacting the shipping carrier directly to initiate a trace or claim. White Water Outfitters is not responsible for lost, stolen, or missing packages that are confirmed as delivered by the carrier.

Customers are encouraged to ensure delivery locations are secure and to monitor tracking information closely once an order has shipped.


Address Accuracy & Returned Shipments

Customers are solely responsible for entering a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address sufficient for USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL to complete delivery.

If an order is returned to sender due to an insufficient, incorrect, or undeliverable address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the original shipping cost. This amount will be deducted from any refund issued.

If a package is lost, mis-delivered, or otherwise cannot be recovered due to an incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect address entered by the customer, White Water Outfitters is not responsible for replacing or refunding the order.


Oversized Packages

Oversized packages subject to dimensional weight charges will incur additional freight charges as imposed by the carrier. Oversized items include, but are not limited to:

  • Fishing rods

  • Gaffs

  • Coolers

  • Rigging buckets

  • Bait trays, bait pens & bait tanks

  • Tackle boxes & bags

  • Outriggers

Orders containing multiple oversized items that can reasonably be shipped together (for example, 3–4 rods depending on type) will generally incur one oversize shipping charge of $25. In certain cases, additional charges may apply, and customers will be contacted prior to shipment.


Shipping Rates & Dimensional Weight

Shipping costs are based on weight, size, and dimensional weight when applicable. Dimensional weight charges will be added when imposed by the carrier.

In certain situations where bulk quantities of large items are ordered (for example: multiple tackle boxes, rod tubes, or similar oversized items), dimensional rate shipping may apply at our discretion, regardless of “Free Shipping” status based on purchase amount.

Our website does not have a way to automatically differentiate when these situations occur. If additional shipping charges apply, we will contact you with the actual shipping cost for approval prior to shipping your order.


Damaged Shipments

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with photos of the damaged item and packaging so we can assist you.

In most cases, we will initiate a damage claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf. Resolution of damaged shipments is subject to the carrier’s claims process and approval.

Once a claim has been approved by the carrier, we will provide a resolution in the form of either:

  • A replacement item, or

  • A refund for the damaged product

In some instances, customers may be required to return the damaged item. If a return is necessary, we will provide a return shipping label and instructions.

Please retain all original packaging and contents until the claim has been resolved, as carriers may require inspection or documentation.


Sales Tax

Standard New York State sales tax applies only to orders delivered within New York State. Orders shipped outside of New York State are sales-tax exempt.


International & Military Shipping

Orders shipped to international destinations outside of the continental United States may incur additional charges. Shipping prices calculated online are estimates only.

Customers will be contacted if actual shipping charges exceed the quoted amount prior to shipment. All international shipping, handling, duties, taxes, and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Please contact your local customs office for information regarding applicable duties and taxes.

Shipping via USPS is available for U.S. military addresses and select international destinations. Please call for details. All USPS shipments are billed at USPS rates.
