Our 7” Needlefish is weighted to sink more slowly than most others on the market. This allows the 247 Needlefish to swim perfectly in that shallow water boulder field or sandy beach where the big stripers love to feed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eCast it out, let it sink to your desired depth, and retrieve slowly. Give it a twitch occasionally to flash the underbelly sideways at the fish. But also do not be afraid to mix up your retrieve until you find what the fish are interested in! Sometimes creeping it slowly past the boulders is what they are keyed in on, but sometimes short bursts of speed will get their attention better. There's also been plenty of nights when skipping it quickly across the surface was the ticket to draw strikes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eAs of January 2024, all our Needlefish lures - including this 7” model - are being rigged standard with one treble hook on the belly swivel and a custom tied FLAG on the tail loop (no hook on the rear).
